Salesforce Developer

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Salesforce Developer within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Account Payables line of business. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions using modern platform capabilities, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, integrations, and Agentforce technologies. Success in this role requires balancing technical excellence with practical business outcomes while leveraging AI-assisted development practices to improve quality and delivery speed.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Partnering directly with business stakeholders to understand business processes and translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Building enterprise-quality Apex solutions using object-oriented programming principles and established software design patterns.
• Developing Lightning Web Components (LWC) for Lightning Experience, Screen Flows, and Quick Actions.
• Designing and implementing complex Flow automations while considering security, sharing, and maintainability.
• Developing and supporting REST-based integrations with internal and external applications.
• Building asynchronous solutions using Queueable Apex, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and other Salesforce platform capabilities.
• Ensuring solutions comply with Salesforce governor limits, platform best practices, and security standards.
• Participating in solution design sessions, code reviews, technical documentation, and release planning.
• Providing accurate development estimates, communicating project status, identifying delivery risks, and recommending practical solutions.
• Challenging technical approaches constructively when better alternatives exist.
• Continuously improving development standards, reusable components, and engineering practices.
• Leveraging AI development tools responsibly to accelerate delivery while validating the quality and accuracy of generated solutions.

Salesforce Development

• 8+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Strong expertise in Apex development, including:
• Interfaces and abstract classes
• Queueable Apex with Finalizers
• Platform Events
• Change Data Capture
• Custom REST APIs
• Enterprise-scale application development
• Strong experience building Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Extensive experience designing complex Salesforce Flows.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce execution context, governor limits, sharing model, and platform architecture.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, source-driven development, Git, and CI/CD practices.

Salesforce Platform Knowledge

Working knowledge of Salesforce administration, including:

• Dynamic Forms
• Custom Metadata Types
• Custom Objects
• Custom Permissions
• Permission Set Groups
• Sharing Rules
• Queues
• Approval Processes
• Inbound Email Services
• Declarative platform configuration

Software Engineering

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience implementing common design patterns such as Factory, Observer, Proxy, and Facade.
• Experience writing maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance.

AI-First Development

We believe AI is transforming software engineering. Successful candidates should demonstrate experience using AI as a core development accelerator rather than simply a code generator.

Preferred experience includes:

• Using AI-assisted development tools within Visual Studio Code.
• Creating Markdown-based project documentation and contextual knowledge for AI grounding.
• Developing reusable prompt frameworks and development workflows.
• Validating and improving AI-generated solutions through engineering judgment and testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required).
• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (preferred).
• Salesforce Administrator certification (preferred).
• Experience with Agentforce development (plus).
• Experience with Prompt Builder.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Customer 360 implementations.
• Experience building AI-enabled customer service solutions.
• Financial services, payments, or enterprise SaaS experience.

Pay Transparency

The expected salary range for this position is $135,400 - $165,000, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits (where applicable), may also be provided.
