Job description

We act as an enterprise-level data architect within the team
We take responsibility for the in-house architecture after it has been outsourced
We work as an individual contributor
We support upcoming projects including migration of customer data to newer cloud-based servers
We own the data roadmap
We work with Databricks, data lakes, data visualisation, and enterprise service bus (ESB)
We ensure data governance and compliance standards are followed
We communicate effectively with stakeholders
We help set long-term strategy

Requirements

Enterprise-level data architecture experience
Databricks experience is essential
Experience taking over outsourced architecture and bringing it back in-house
Experience working as an individual contributor within a team
Experience with migration of customer data to newer cloud-based servers
Experience with canonical model design patterns
Experience with cleansing and ETL
Experience creating and designing data systems using best-practice standards and principles
Experience with data roadmap responsibility
Experience with data lakes, data visualisation, and enterprise service bus (ESB)
Experience with data governance and compliance standards
Azure cloud experience
Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Experience setting long-term strategy
Technical authority / leadership experience

About the company

We are offering a Data Architect role in the West Midlands with a salary of up to £80k. The role is hybrid, with office attendance twice per week, and includes a bonus scheme, hybrid working, life assurance, cycle to work scheme, 25 days holiday increasing with length of service, and an employee assistance program.
