Senior Engineer - EICA - UK Wide

area of authority. Coordinate EICA designs with process, mechanical, civil, digital and commissioning teams to support smooth project delivery. Provide technical input on control systems, MCCs, ICA equipment, electrical distribution, telemetry, automation and associated water industry assets. Identify design risks, maintain clear technical records and contribute to safe, compliant and right-first-time delivery. Mentor junior engineers, graduates and apprentices, sharing specialist EICA knowledge across the team. Build strong working relationships with clients, discipline leads, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams. Essential Strong experience in EICA design within water, wastewater, process, utilities or a similarly regulated engineering environment. Good understanding of electrical distribution, motor control centres, instrumentation, control systems, automation and associated design standards. Appreciation of automated control systems, PLC/SCADA interfaces, telemetry and commissioning requirements. Ability to produce and review practical, economic and buildable EICA design solutions. Experience leading, checking or mentoring engineers within an EICA or related engineering discipline. Membership of a professional institution, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership. Relevant engineering qualification, ideally an electrical, control, instrumentation or automation engineering degree, or minimum HND in a relevant discipline. Knowledge of current wiring regulations, including 18th Edition, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent competence. Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and commercially.
