Working Student - Data Science & AI

Our Data Science & AI team at DISH is providing analytical solutions for the direct and indirect value creation within the METRO Group and beyond. Our analyses are based on innovative technologies and methods. We guide management in their strategic decisions and support operative business processes.

As part of the Data Science & AI team, you will closely work together with the team members on exciting data projects and support the team in exploring, developing, expanding, and maintaining tools and methods for creating value and reporting.

You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own projects and implement digital solutions as well as grow through continuous learning in AI topics.

Menu of Responsibilities

You will be part of our Data Insights Team, which includes 3 Centers of Excellence (CoE) and one platform team. With guidance and support, you will:

• Assist and contribute to the conception and solution development for data science and AI in a digital business environment
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and create customer behavioral insights on various topics
• Support the transfer of the analyses into clear, concrete, and actionable recommendations for further engagements for our customers and stakeholders
• Help with optimising our models and algorithms
• Obtain hands-on experience by working with real-world data, gain insights into the broad field of data science, Our commitment extends beyond business success - we want our employees to thrive! • You are currently enrolled at university and completing a degree in data science, computer science, (business) informatics, economics, statistics and mathematics, or a comparable course of study
• Knowledge in data analysis and statistical methods
• Knowledge in Machine Learning and Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI is beneficial
• Experience in programming skills dealing with script-based analysis languages such as Python, SQL is beneficial
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
