Applications Support Developer

We are seeking an Applications Support Developer to join a small IT team responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing internally developed business applications. This role is a blend of software development, application support, desktop support, and general IT responsibilities. Because the applications are proprietary, the ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats., * Maintain and enhance internally developed business applications built primarily with VB.NET and Visual Studio.

• Troubleshoot application issues and resolve support requests submitted by internal users and customers.
• Develop and modify SQL queries to support application functionality and reporting.
• Provide Windows desktop support and assist users with hardware and software issues.
• Create and maintain basic PowerShell scripts to automate simple tasks and file management.
• Support data processing workflows and application integrations.
• Work alongside senior developers to learn legacy systems and contribute to ongoing maintenance efforts.
• Communicate directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide technical assistance.
• Assist with general IT initiatives in a collaborative, small-team environment.

• Experience developing applications using VB.NET and Visual Studio.
• Working knowledge of C# and SQL.
• Previous experience providing Windows desktop or service desk support.
• Exposure to PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Azure is a plus.
• Experience working with or supporting legacy applications is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting directly with customers.
• Ability to learn proprietary applications and adapt to a variety of technical responsibilities.
