Data Science Analyst

Beacon Hill is looking for a Data Science Analyst to support a growing Data Science team focused on forecasting, optimization, pricing, revenue management, and business analytics initiatives. This individual will work closely with Data Scientists, business stakeholders, and technical teams to collect, prepare, analyze, and validate data used in advanced analytical solutions. The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python skills, enjoys working with large datasets, and can translate business questions into actionable insights through reporting and analysis. This role will support the development of predictive, forecasting, and optimization models by building clean, reliable datasets and identifying meaningful trends within complex data. The Data Science Analyst will have the opportunity to learn advanced analytics techniques while contributing to strategic initiatives that improve business performance and operational decision-making

Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related data-focused roles

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline

Strong proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregations, filtering, and data validation

Experience using Python (or R) for data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting

Experience working with large datasets and performing data cleansing, transformation, and validation

Ability to build datasets and prepare data for analytical and data science initiatives

Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through data analysis

Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses

Ability to document data processes, assumptions, and business requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across business and technical teams

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting data science, machine learning, forecasting, or optimization initiatives

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse

Knowledge of data modeling concepts and analytics-ready datasets

Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development

Exposure to tools such as Databricks, Spark, Airflow, dbt, or Data Factory

Experience using Git or version control tools

Understanding of statistical analysis and basic predictive modeling concepts

Experience working in Agile environments

Interest in learning advanced analytics, machine learning, optimization, and operations research methodologies

Strong attention to detail and passion for data quality

Interest in travel, hospitality, customer experience, or revenue management environments

$62,900.00 - $85,100.00 per year
