- Lead core Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, feature refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Perform daily backlog health checks; manage grooming and prioritization with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Capture and translate business and technical needs into clear epics, features, and user stories.
- Configure and maintain Azure DevOps boards, sprints, iterations, dashboards, queries, analytics, and delivery plans.
- Facilitate workshops and cross-team forums to define requirements and align priorities.
- Manage team calendars, collaboration cadence, and communications via Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain all position-based Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update them as needed or requested.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Lead & Backlog Analyst to guide high-performing delivery teams, maintain a healthy backlog, and ensure smooth sprint execution. This role combines hands-on Scrum leadership with disciplined backlog management and strong analytical skills. It is primarily remote (about 85%), with occasional onsite work 2-4 times per month in Washington, DC., * Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead, or Backlog Analyst.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and requirements-analysis skills.
- Ability to maintain backlog discipline and drive predictable, high-quality delivery.
