Job description

OverviewIn this role you will design and scale Rust-based services that power trading, payments, and crypto experiences within Payward Services.You will work on high-availability, low-latency systems and collaborate with a large Rust engineering team to deliver robust infrastructure that moves money and assets safely at scale.You’ll own end-to-end solutions, mentor peers, and help shape our security-focused, product-driven engineering culture.This is an opportunity to impact open financial infrastructure at scale and work across distributed systems.ResponsabilidadesDesign and implement robust Rust services and libraries for trading, payments, and crypto experiencesWrite reusable, testable, and efficient code that scales across teams and supports revenue-critical systemsCollaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture for low-latency solutionsWork with hundreds of Rust engineers to sustain a high-performance, product-driven cultureProvide end-to-end ownership of systems and librariesMentor other engineers and contribute to defining the technical cultureRequisitos principales5+ years of software engineering experienceProficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in RustSecurity-first mindset in system designAbility to autonomously debug issues across the stack (OS, network, application)Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies (RPC protocols, Kafka, Event-Driven Systems)Collaborate with product teams to gather requirementsEnd-to-end ownership of systems and librariesMentorship and contribution to technical culturecollaborationownershipmentorshipRustnetwork servicesasynchronous programming

Requirements
