React Node Senior Software Engineer I

Are you an experienced full stack developer (React Node) looking to work on our cutting-edge frontends for a healthcare mission driven organization?Are you a collaborative Sr Software Engineer with an automation mindset - someone who looks for ways to build tools, agents, or AI-assisted workflows to multiply your own and your team’s impact?About the role As a full stack developer you will collaborate with Product, UX designers, and other engineers and teams to develop client-side applications.About the teamThe Clinical Key Web team is responsible for the frontend for one of Elsevier’s flagship products used by thousands of physicians, nurses, medical students, and other roles daily to improve patient care and research., * Designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications using React (front end) and Node.js (back end).

• Ensuring seamless integration between client-side and server-side components to deliver responsive, scalable, and secure web applications.
• Developing user interfaces for a large web monolith and small to moderate micro-frontends and services, maintaining high standards for accessibility, performance, and usability.
• Implementing and optimizing UI components that align with enterprise design systems and technical standards.
• Lead applications through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) - from requirements gathering and system design to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure high-quality releases through continuous integration, code reviews, and automated testing.

• Possess current frontend and backend skills in both React and Node. Only candidates with this skill set will be considered for this role.
• Experience working on moderate to large web monoliths
• Have taken an application(s) through the full project life cycle process.
• Possess extensive experience utilizing the Agile delivery process for software development.
• Experience collaborating with both technical and not technical professionals to drive innovation.
• Possess an understanding of crucial applications/products in the Science, Medicine, Education business vertical.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $86,600 - $144,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
