Cloud AWS Engineer - V

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and hands-on Senior Cloud AWS Engineer V to join our Enterprise Services team and drive our expanding Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud initiatives and infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for managing enterprise cloud infrastructure, designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), establishing robust security frameworks, and providing expert guidance on cloud configuration best practices.

This is a critical cloud engineering position for a technical specialist who thrives in an Agile development environment. You will collaborate daily with cross-functional engineering teams, author automated provisioning scripts, optimize serverless architectures, and help establish best practices for cloud tooling. If you possess deep operational mastery of AWS and modern DevOps automation tools, we want to hear from you., Cloud Infrastructure & Automation Infrastructure Management: Oversee, scale, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure across multiple AWS environment scenarios. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, develop, and implement robust IaC scripts and automated provisioning frameworks utilizing Terraform. CI/CD & Scripting: Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, leveraging scripting languages such as Go and Python. Serverless & Linux Operations: Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments and serverless architectures (AWS Lambdas) to ensure high performance and reliability.

Security, Networking & Support Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance controls across all cloud environments. Networking & Monitoring: Apply a strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing) alongside advanced AWS monitoring and telemetry tools. Best Practices & Documentation: Author clear technical documentation, architectural guidelines, and operational runbooks to support Amazon application development tools and internal engineering teams. Agile Participation & On-Call: Actively participate in daily Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and team collaboration; contribute to rotational on-call support as required.

Experience: 5-8+ Years in Cloud Engineering, AWS Operations, & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Core Vertical: Enterprise Cloud Services, Infrastructure Automation, & DevOps Engineering Mandatory Expertise: Advanced AWS Operations & Architecture, Terraform, Go, Python, GitLab CI/CD Pipelines, Linux Environments, Serverless/Lambda, & Enterprise Networking, Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience). Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure operations, and DevOps. Technical Mastery: oAdvanced, hands-on experience managing enterprise AWS Operations and cloud services. oProven development experience with Terraform, Go, Python, and GitLab CI/CD. oStrong technical background in both Linux system administration and Serverless/Lambda architectures. oComprehensive understanding of cloud networking concepts and security protocols. Regulatory Compliance: oU.S. Citizenship is strictly required for this role to satisfy federal/enterprise compliance mandates. Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication abilities; proven capability to work collaboratively in fast-paced Agile environments.

Preferred Attributes Relevant AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect Professional). Prior experience working within heavily regulated enterprise cloud environments.
