Information System Security Officer

Clear Ridge Defense is seeking a TS/SCI cleared professional to serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), in Washington, DC

Roles and Responsibilities

You will…

• Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
• Assist with the CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc to include system upgrades
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program
• Develop and update the system security plan and other IA documentation
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware
• Assist with the management of security aspects of the of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance, Salary ranges provided are subject to the following variables and circumstances, which may impact whether the actual paid salary falls within the range:
• The contract the employee is assigned to support. For example, this advertised position may support multiple contracts.
• The negotiated rates between CRD and our client.
• The option year of the contract the employee is assigned to.
• Annual performance of the employee and/or the company.
• If the employee takes on additional company responsibilities.
• If the company makes a strategic hiring decision (e.g., investment in the employee) for growth opportunities.
• If the employee does not meet the qualifications fully but a waiver is provided by CRD or our clients.
• If the employee is assigned a lower-level labor category due to external circumstances than they actually qualify for.

• Experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools
• TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with SSPs
• Experience with customer’s current tools
• Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
• Advanced hands-on technical skills

Nice To Haves

• IAT certifications (Sec+, CEH, CySA+, etc.)
• Leadership experience
• Associates degree or higher in a related field

$90,000 - $200,000/ year
