Test Engineer

B&A is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission., * Design and implement test plans and test cases.

• Engage in systems testing, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Develop user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Review and document functional requirements with team lead and develop estimates.
• Develop automated test scripts using tools Rest Assured, Selenium and Post man using TestNG and BDD framework.
• Hands on in Core Java and Java script.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology Management or Engineering is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience., * Experience in writing and maintaining test scripts and test plans.
• Experience in writing and executing unit tests and test cases.
• Experience in performing thorough functional, integration, and regression testing of complex systems.
• Experience in designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using automated testing tools.
• Experience in participating in and facilitating requirements gathering sessions.
• Experience in documenting business and systems requirements including, developing user stories with acceptance criteria and constructing workflow and diagrams.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio).
• Experience with SQL (PL/SQL or T-SQL).
• Experience in Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or Atlassian JIRA.
• Experience in practicing standard software development lifecycle leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM.
• Experience defining and tracking QA metrics such as open defect count.
• Experience in defect tracking and maintaining defects life cycle.
• Experience in API testing like SOAP UI and Postman.
• Experience in API automation using tools Rest Assured and Postman.
