Junior Applications Engineer

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Junior Applications Engineer located in Henrico, Virginia.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the Junio Applications Engineer will be accountable for providing technical guidance and information to customers on a pre-sales and post-sales basis to enable delivery of design, fabrication, and assembly goals while ensuring alignment with customer expectations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Partner with customers, sales teams and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and recommend solutions that align with product, design, fabrication, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide best-in-class technical support by resolving complex customer questions related to analog and mixed-signal products, manufacturing capabilities, design, fabrication, and assembly.
• Review customer requirements, identify technical, capacity, and scheduling risks, and recommend solutions that meet both customer expectations and manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with product development, business development, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and customers to support successful product integration and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot, characterize, and validate complex product and system-level issues through hands-on laboratory testing and root cause analysis.
• Define project scope, document customer requirements, and support project planning activities to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and communicate potential design concerns, technical roadblocks, and manufacturing challenges while driving timely resolution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and customer communications to support ongoing programs and engineering activities.

• 1-3 years of experience directly supporting analog circuit design, troubleshooting, validation, and technical problem resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Strong technical competency in analog and mixed-signal design with the ability to solve complex product- and system-level issues.
• Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment testing, characterizing, debugging, and recreating customer issues involving electronic products and assemblies.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions, defend recommendations with data, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience translating customer requirements into product recommendations, specifications, or product development improvements.
• Experience supporting project planning, scope definition, and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SharePoint workflows, or Microsoft Power Automate.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
