REQUIRES AN ACTIVE / EXISTING TS/SCI WITH CI POLY - NO REMOTE WORKLocation: Reston, VA OR Washington, DC Position Description:Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ForeScout Network Security Systems Administrator to support the deployment, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT and cybersecurity infrastructure within a secure, multi-domain environment.This role will work extensively with ForeScout CounterACT, Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, Active Directory, firewalls, VLANs, and enterprise cybersecurity tools. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support across systems, network, and security environments while helping maintain system availability, performance, compliance, and security.This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, administer, and maintain ForeScout CounterACT appliances within a complex enterprise environment.Support the installation and integration of ForeScout across multi-domain environments, including data center, WAN, LAN, and virtualized architectures.Perform Windows and/or Linux systems administration, including:System installation and configurationTroubleshooting and issue resolutionMonitoring system availability and performanceApplying operating system, application, and security upgradesSupporting system hardening and security requirementsPerform network engineering and administration activities, including:Installation and activation of network portsSwitch configurationLAN and VLAN configuration and troubleshootingFirewall and network appliance supportNetwork connectivity troubleshootingSupport network and enterprise services including Active Directory, domain management, guest LAN environments, and related infrastructure services.Troubleshoot technical issues across systems, networking, and cybersecurity infrastructure.Integrate and analyze cybersecurity data using enterprise or custom data aggregation and analysis tools, including Splunk.Provide Tier II IT operations and maintenance support, including responding to tickets, documenting technical work, updating ticket information, troubleshooting incidents, and implementing remediation.Support cybersecurity compliance activities and implementation of applicable federal information security requirements.Assist with security assessments, system authorization activities, risk management processes, and remediation efforts.Maintain technical documentation, procedures, configuration information, and troubleshooting records.Coordinate technical activities with customers, cybersecurity personnel, engineers, administrators, and other stakeholders.Independently identify and resolve technical issues while collaborating effectively within a larger technical team. Basic Qualifications3+ years of experience performing Windows or Linux systems administration, including experience with:Basic troubleshootingSystem installation and configurationMonitoring system performance and availabilityPerforming operating system and security upgradesExperience deploying and/or performing daily administration and maintenance of ForeScout CounterACT appliances.Experience with network engineering or network administration, including one or more of the following:Physical or logical network configurationInstallation and activation of network portsSwitch configurationLAN and VLAN administrationNetwork firewalls and appliancesActive DirectoryGuest LAN environmentsDomain administrationKnowledge of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, LAN, and virtualized environments.Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph.Education and experience meeting one of the following combinations:High School Diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activitiesAssociate’s degree and 5+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activitiesBachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activitiesMaster’s degree and 1+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activitiesMust possess, or obtain within 30 days of the start date, a DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification, such as:SecurityX (formerly CASP+)CCNP SecurityCISACISSP or Associate of CISSPGCEDGCIHCCSPAbility to obtain a DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS) qualifying certification prior to beginning work on the contract. Qualifying certifications may include:CEHCySA+GICSPSSCPCHFICFRCloud+CND Preferred QualificationsForeScout Certified Administrator (FSCA) and/or ForeScout Certified Engineer (FSCE) certification.Experience installing and deploying ForeScout within a multi-domain customer environment.Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, and frameworks.Familiarity with federal security authorization, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems.Experience integrating cybersecurity data using Splunk or similar enterprise data aggregation and analysis platforms.Experience working in a Tier II IT operations and maintenance environment.Experience documenting ticket activity, technical issues, remediation actions, and resolution information.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across systems, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.Ability to independently manage assignments and priorities with limited supervision.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to coordinate technical efforts and establish productive working relationships. CertificationsCandidates must meet applicable DoD 8570/8140 workforce certification requirements, including IAT Level III and CSSP Infrastructure Support requirements within the timelines specified above.
