Job description

  • Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Collect, process, transform, and validate data from various sources.
  • Write and optimize basic SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Assist with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions.
  • Develop basic data workflows using Python or other programming languages.
  • Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data-processing issues.
  • Assist with database and data warehouse development.
  • Support data integration between applications, databases, and cloud services.
  • Participate in testing, debugging, and deployment of data solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, DevOps engineers, and other technical teams.
  • Follow security, data-quality, and development best practices.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cloud Computing / Data Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will assist with developing data pipelines, managing cloud-based data solutions, processing datasets, and supporting cloud infrastructure and data engineering projects.

This is an entry-level position and does not require senior-level experience. Candidates with 0-2 years of experience, entry level candidates, internships, academic projects, bootcamp training, or personal cloud/data engineering projects are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building a career in Cloud Computing and Data Engineering, * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Programming experience with Python, Java, or a similar language.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT and data pipeline concepts.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of databases, data structures, and data processing concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to AWS S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, or EMR.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, or Azure Synapse.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, or Dataflow.
  • Basic knowledge of Apache Spark or PySpark.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Basic understanding of Docker and CI/CD.
  • Exposure to Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals.
