TELECOMMUTE System Engineer

We are seeking an entry-level System Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in operating systems, networking, cloud technologies, system administration, and technical support., * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• Support servers, workstations, applications, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Assist with cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Perform system updates, patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system performance issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Assist with backup, recovery, monitoring, and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Use scripting and automation to improve system administration tasks.
• Maintain system documentation, technical procedures, and configuration records.
• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, software, and support teams.
• Follow IT security, compliance, and infrastructure best practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN, and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with system administration and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting is preferred.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and backup concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
• VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
• Cloud infrastructure and administration.
• PowerShell, Bash, or Python automation.
• Docker and container technologies.
• Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, endpoint security, and access management.
• Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems., * Entry-level / 0-2 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, technical support, networking, or a related field.
