Senior Architect Azure Platform & Integration

• Technical direction: Lead the technical design, delivery and evolution of shared Azure platform and integration capabilities.
• Integration standards: Set practical standards for REST APIs, OpenAPI contracts, Azure API Management and message-driven integrations using Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Platform foundations: Establish reusable patterns for Azure infrastructure as code, CI/CD, application hosting, security, observability and operational readiness.
• Hands-on delivery: Contribute hands-on to complex implementation work, design reviews, troubleshooting and incident learning.
• Integration reliability: Ensure integrations address contracts, versioning, authentication, retries, dead-letter handling, ordering and idempotency.
• Engineering enablement: Coach engineers, enable decisions at the lowest appropriate level and reduce knowledge silos.
• Cross-functional delivery: Work with the Technical Product Manager, IT Operations and Security, Data & Reporting and other teams to resolve dependencies and make technical risks visible.

• Azure expertise: Strong hands-on experience designing, building and operating production systems on Microsoft Azure.
• Technical leadership: Experience leading technical design and architecture decisions while remaining close to implementation.
• API expertise: Strong experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI and API lifecycle management.
• Event-driven integration: Experience with asynchronous messaging and message brokers such as Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Platform engineering: Experience with Azure infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform, CI/CD, observability and cloud security.
• Software craftsmanship: Strong software engineering skills in at least one modern programming language.
• Collaboration: Clear communication, pragmatic judgement and experience coaching engineers without relying on formal authority.
• Language proficiency: Fluency in both English and German is required; Spanish language skills are an advantage.
