Job description
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain applications using Python.
- Build scalable backend services, applications, and RESTful APIs.
- Work with databases to create queries, manage data, and optimize application performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Develop and maintain application components using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and application deployment.
- Troubleshoot software issues and identify root causes.
- Work with Git/GitHub for source-code management.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, data engineers, and business teams.
- Assist with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based application deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software development principles.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and API integration.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Understanding of debugging, testing, and version-control practices.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript is a plus.
- Exposure to Pandas, NumPy, or data-processing libraries.
- Familiarity with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies is a plus.
Experience
- Entry-level / 0-2 years of experience in Python development or software engineering.
- Academic projects, internships, personal projects, or relevant hands-on experience are welcome.
