API Architect

• Audit the current integrations and prioritise what to change, balancing technical debt against business needs
• Design and build the API and integration architecture connecting Salesforce, SAP and the Azure-based mobile and AI platforms
• Set architecture standards and guidelines for distributed development teams across Europe and India
• Work closely with two other architects (Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud) as one architecture group
• Report directly to the Director of Applications

• 5+ years in software engineering (3-4 years is fine with the right mindset), including experience in architecture or senior technical leadership
• Strong Azure experience (Container Apps, App Services, Functions)
• Contract-first API design (REST / GraphQL / OpenAPI)
• Event-driven architectures (Service Bus / Event Mesh / Kafka)
• Integration experience with SAP BTP and/or Salesforce
• Proven delivery of real architectures in production
• Fluent spoken English: daily work with international teams
• Ownership, leadership and a “future-proof” mindset

About the company A leading European consumer brand selling 100% direct-to-consumer online, with an international presence. The company is building a new Tech Hub in Barcelona to bring architecture work in-house that was previously handled by external agencies.

The mission The company’s ecosystem (Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA and native iOS/Android apps) grew through point-to-point integrations that no longer scale. Your mission is to lead the shift to an “API & Clean Core” model: custom logic moves out of the platforms and into microservices exposed through reusable APIs., * eCommerce / D2C experience

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• AI exposure (the company runs its own internal AI assistant on Azure)
