Job description

Senior Slate Student Success Implementations Strategists lead the day-to-day work and long-term strategy behind client Slate Student Success builds. You’ll own advanced implementations end to end - modules, data migration, datasets, and everything in between - while acting as the client’s go-to Slate expert. This role also carries leadership weight on the team: mentoring Strategists, shaping internal processes, and bringing strategic recommendations back to how the team works.

What You’ll Own

  • Slate Student Success Implementations
  • Own and lead the build of advanced Slate Student Success Implementations for partner institutions, including all Student Success modules, data migration, and datasets
  • Own the troubleshooting, building, and advising on all assigned Slate projects
  • Recommend Student Success, advising, and retention processes, drawing on past implementations, professional experience, and industry trends
  • Client Partnership
  • Talk clients through Slate builds - process, strategy, and implications - on scheduled calls and in writing
  • Work closely with the client project team (Accounts and other Strategists) to keep implementations and consultations accurate and on track
  • Serve as the expert voice on Slate for your assigned clients
  • Internal Projects
  • Bring ideas to team innovation conversations
  • Take ownership of internal projects, processes, and integrations that interest you and meet the needs of the team
  • Team Leadership
  • Potential to directly manage one to three Slate Strategists
  • Meet with direct reports regularly, providing mentorship, guidance, and support for their growth and development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent life/work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of advanced Technolutions Slate CRM experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of higher education advising, retention, or Student Success experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Slate features, including Advanced Queries, Dashboards, Datasets, Deliver, Entities, Events, Fields and Prompts, Forms, Rules, Tasks and Projects, and Upload Dataset
  • Advanced knowledge of Student Success processes and strategy
  • Excellent organizational skills - attention to detail, multitasking, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate well with team members and represent Carnegie to clients
  • Strong communication and time-management skills, along with comfort switching between multiple technology platforms, given the remote environment
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
