The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.

Requirements

  • Currently hold an active DOD 8570 certificate (Security+, etc.)
  • Currently hold an active Top Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI security clearance
  • Experience managing hypervisors such as RedHat OpenStack, Hyper-V, or VMWare
  • Scripting with Ansible, bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience with managing RHEL 9, Windows 11 and Server 2022
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory / Group Policy / System hardening
  • Experience with managing Networking equipment (Cisco / Juniper / Palo Alto)
  • Proficiency in System architecture and design

Desired Skills

  • Experience in Agile using Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Version One, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with different customers in varying work environments
  • Strategic thinker that can relate technology solutions to customer use cases
  • Good balance of IQ & EQ to be able to solve both technical and social challenges
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and understanding
  • Previous Agile team leadership experience as RTE, Scrum Master, Agile Coach or Product Owner
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
