Job description
Seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting critical business applications., * Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and storage.
- Perform backups, restores, maintenance, and disaster recovery testing.
- Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, patching, and deployments.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.
Requirements
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience.
- Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with backup/recovery, replication, and high availability.
- Knowledge of database security, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Database migration and modernization experience.
- Storage/infrastructure integration experience.
- Automation using PowerShell and T-SQL.
