AI Engineer - I

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Architect, train, and fine-tune LLMs for enterprise use cases.
• Develop agentic AI systems that can autonomously reason, plan, and act on complex data workflows.
• Build AI solutions within Foundry and Vantage environments.
• Integrate LLMs with operational datasets and analytical pipelines.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Support future AI modernization efforts and enhance AI capabilities across the network.
• Stay current with advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and agentic architectures.
• Develop content and present briefings to senior leaders.
• Manage and respond to user tickets and lead Integrated Product Teams (IPT).

This position supports the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI solutions. The role involves designing, building, and deploying advanced AI systems that leverage data integration and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate has experience deploying production-level AI systems and will work as an integral part of an Agile team to solve complex technical problems and support mission objectives. • A college degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of related technical experience.
• Proven experience building and deploying LLMs (e.g., GPT, Llama, PaLM) in production environments.
• A strong background in agentic AI, autonomous agents, or multi-agent systems.
• Proficiency with Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry/Vantage or similar data analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ontology design, and pipeline orchestration.
• Experience developing or launching an Agentic AI solution for an organization.
• Experience working on a Scrumban team in an Agile environment., * Prior work integrating AI/ML models with enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or AI workflow automation.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and responsible AI practices in enterprise settings.
• Experience with data platforms like ADVANA or Palantir MAVEN.
• Familiarity with the Azure Data/AI stack (e.g., Azure Databricks, Synapse, or Data Factory).
• Experience developing with Databricks.
• Experience developing applications using the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
• Experience with designing and implementing data models in Microsoft 365.
