Job description

The Sr. Application Developer - Ag & Trading job builds, maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. With minimal supervision, this job performs complex software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.

This role focuses on project delivery within the plant and manufacturing space and acts as owner of the Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM)/Savigent platform across AG&T EMEA, working self-sufficiently and with minimal supervision to take initiatives from design through to go-live., * APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Builds complex application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.

  • APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs advanced programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
  • USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Plays a key role and keeps an open channel of communication with users to respond to complex application support requests and needs.
  • APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, including application development teams, network and infrastructure teams, IT Manufacturing/IIO and the SAP/ERP team, as well as product managers and business partners, to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
  • INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Leads prioritization of incoming incident tickets and user requests.
  • VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates complex contracts.
  • REPORTING & ANALYTICS: Builds and maintains reports, dashboards and data extracts to deliver business insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Savigent, or similar event-driven platforms.
  • Understanding of industrial automation, OT/IT integration and data flows between plant and enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA) and system integration/interfaces between ERP and plant systems.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards with tools such as Power BI., * Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) concepts, including platform lifecycle ownership (upgrades, patches and vendor coordination) and MOM roadmap governance.
  • Experience delivering application projects self-sufficiently within a plant or manufacturing environment, including integration of MOM/MES with ERP/SAP systems.
  • Experience supporting UAT, business simulation and go-live/stabilization activities at plant level, including Level 3 (expert) application support.
  • Project management, vendor management and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Аn additional European language (e.g. German, French) is an advantage.
  • Wilingness to travel up to 20% within EMEA
