Job description

  • Communicate efficiently with various stakeholders (functional analysts, solution architect) so they perfectly understand task priorities.
  • Ensure your code is fully covered with unit tests.
  • Propose technical improvements and defend them to the solution architect.
  • Support testers during functional testing.
  • Analyze integrations with other parties and systems.
  • Translate functional analyses into technical designs.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure staff to install applications and monitor their operation.
  • Document your software thoroughly without getting lost in unnecessary details.

Requirements

The role focuses on upgrading these systems to the latest versions, phasing out legacy components, and designing/executing multiple test scenarios. The ideal candidate combines strong technical analysis skills, hands-on Java/Quarkus/AWS expertise, and the ability to work in a bilingual (NL/FR) agile environment with 1 day/week onsite in Schaerbeek and 4 days remote. Start is ASAP, with an initial duration until end of year (extension possible)., * Deep knowledge of Quarkus, JSP, SQL, Java 8+, XML, XSD, Web Services (SOAP & REST), and OpenShift.

  • Experience developing and deploying in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Proficiency with tools such as WebLogic, Maven, Nexus, Git.
  • Experience in the development and application maintenance of enterprise-class systems.
  • Strong experience working in Agile methodologies and Scrum teams; Scrum Master experience is a plus.
  • Excellent technical analysis and synthesis capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Quality-oriented, accurate, and no-nonsense mindset.
  • Result-driven, proactive, and dynamic.
  • Native-level Dutch or French, with strong knowledge of the other national language and very good English., * Hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, SNS/SQS, or equivalent cloud services.
  • Experience acting as Scrum Master.
  • Familiarity with high-volume communication platforms or document management systems.
  • Background in regulated or membership-based organizations handling large-scale member communications.
