Job description
As the Azure Engineer at Brand New Day, you’ll be responsible for migrating our software landscape to an up-to-date and well-configured cloud environment. You’ll build on this foundation, ensuring that we can fully leverage Azure’s capabilities for our custom-built software in the future.
You’ll work closely with our fifty developers and testers in Amsterdam and Bangkok, enabling them to make the most of Azure for development, testing, and hosting applications. You’ll also support the management team with strategic projects, cloud improvements, and infrastructure maintenance. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with both external service providers and our own Risk department to ensure reliability, security and compliance across our cloud setup.
Your key activities and responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and optimize infrastructure in Azure and DevOps (CI/CD)
- Contribute to Brand New Day’s cloud strategy in consultation with developers
- Create specifications and technical blueprints
- Oversee implementation of cloud-based processes and systems
- Collaborate with external providers and internal teams to ensure secure, reliable service delivery
You’ll be part of a motivated cloud platform team, while staying closely connected to our development community in both Amsterdam and Bangkok.
Requirements
You thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment. You enjoy working independently, but also enjoy collaborating with developers and management to make sure our cloud landscape runs smoothly. You’re eager to share your knowledge, keep learning, and stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies.
Furthermore, you have:
- 3-5 years experience with cloud, DevOps and CI/CD
- deep knowledge of Azure, DevOps and Microsoft 365 (Intune is a plus)
- relevant Microsoft certifications, such as AZ-104 (or willingness to obtain them soon)
- experience in large IT landscapes
- at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
And one more thing: research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups often only apply if they meet 100% of the requirements. Does this sound familiar? If so, we encourage you to apply anyway. We look forward to meeting you!
Benefits & conditions
- A pleasant salary between €6,000 and €6,700 plus pension accrual
- 25 vacation days + 1 extra day off for celebration!
- The option to work from home two days per week and a week per year remote (two weeks for expats)
- Training budget of €1,000 per year to stay up to date in your field.
- €25 per month benefit budget for 1,001 fun or useful things (via Alleo)
- Every week a fully catered lunch at the company’s expense (On other days, you’ll need to arrange your own, but no worries. We’re right next to the Amsterdamse Poort, so you’ll have plenty of options.)
