Job description

Do you have a passion for novel solutions to challenging technical problems? webLyzard technology and Storypact are looking for a software engineer to join our team in Vienna. Help us advance the state of the art in AI-driven knowledge extraction and visualization, Web intelligence, and large-scale semantic search. Both recent graduates and experienced engineers are welcome to apply. You will work in a fast-paced, innovative environment as part of a dynamic, international team (German is not a requirement). We have built award-winning technology showcases for organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In our R&D projects funded by the European Union or the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), we also collaborate with leading media and technology partners across Europe., * Develop reference AI architectures and workflows (e.g., LLM fine-tuning, AI agents) and integrate them with existing applications,

  • Build high-performance REST and gRPC APIs and refine the algorithms, load balancing and caching strategies behind them,
  • Optimize Elasticsearch and database systems such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB,
  • Run and improve our MLOps and DevOps stack, from LLM workflows to CI/CD, automated testing, Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • Background in computer science or a related field,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Software development experience in Java or Python.
