Job description

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section. What will you do? The Information Manager will deliver an exceptional Information Management service that enables the effective delivery of the project. Working collaboratively with project leaders, Digital Engineering, IT, Procurement and regional Information Management teams, they will establish robust standards, systems and processes across the project lifecycle

  • Leading and developing the Information Management team, including supporting recruitment, retention, training, performance and professional development
  • Preparing, agreeing and communicating project Information Standards, Methods and Procedures
  • Managing the project’s electronic document management system, preferably Asite
  • Establishing appropriate information security controls and access rights
  • Coordinating project, client and system reporting
  • Delivering training and support on Information Management systems and processes
  • Managing quality procedures for document control and administrative activities
  • Supporting mobile quality management systems, preferably Field View
  • Helping project teams digitise processes using existing technology and mobile capabilities
  • Supporting the production of the Digital Health and Safety File
  • Facilitating work-in-progress information through SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Providing e-tendering support and training to the Procurement team
  • Managing information archiving throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participating in Information Management peer groups and working groups

Requirements

  • Proven Information Management experience gained on a large-scale infrastructure or nuclear construction project
  • Experience managing and coaching teams in the use of common data environment systems and Information Management processes
  • A strong understanding of construction processes and the full project lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of PAS 1192 and ISO 19650
  • Expert knowledge of collaboration and electronic document management systems, ideally Asite
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and digital handover processes
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • A successful track record of working collaboratively with clients, project partners and diverse stakeholder groups
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to identify system anomalies and improve processes using data
  • Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and across both site-based and remote environments.

It would also be beneficial for candidates to have:

  • Strong technical, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience motivating, supporting and developing people
  • The ability to identify opportunities that create additional value
  • Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and performance reporting
