Job description
Working as part of our IT Services team, you’ll provide a responsive and professional support service across the firm. You’ll investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring incidents and requests are properly logged, prioritised and progressed, escalating where appropriate whilst retaining ownership and keeping colleagues informed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing first and second line IT support by telephone, remotely and in person.
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, access and connectivity issues.
- Managing user administration, including account access, mailboxes and approved access requests.
- Configuring, deploying and supporting laptops and desktops using Microsoft Intune.
- Configuring and supporting iPhones and other iOS devices.
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Supporting remote working technologies, VPNs, mobile connectivity and audio visual equipment.
- Setting up new starter accounts, hardware and software, and supporting internal moves and leavers.
- Maintaining accurate asset records, technical documentation and knowledge articles.
- Supporting IT projects and working with other IT teams and third-party suppliers where required.
This is an office based role, at our office in central Leeds (close to the train station and public transport routes. No on-site parking).
Requirements
You’ll have a minimum of two years’ previous experience working within IT support or a Service Desk environment and be confident taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
Alongside strong technical skills, you’ll be someone who enjoys helping people and can communicate clearly with colleagues with different levels of technical knowledge. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable prioritising competing demands in a busy environment.
You’ll need experience of:
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office support.
- Windows 11.
- Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- Microsoft Intune, including laptop deployment and endpoint/mobile device support.
- Configuring and supporting iPhones and other iOS devices.
- Remote working technologies including VPNs.
- Troubleshooting common networking and connectivity issues.
- iManage or a similar document management system.
Experience gained within a law firm or other professional services environment would be useful, as would ITIL knowledge, Apple Business Manager exposure and experience supporting audio visual or video conferencing equipment. However, none of these are essential.
