Job description

* Own the full board-level hardware development lifecycle, from requirements and specifications through to production release. * Design and develop digital, analogue and mixed-signal electronics for low-power, battery-operated IoT devices. * Select components and develop schematics, working closely with PCB layout engineers. * Lead prototype bring-up, hardware debugging and firmware/hardware integration. * Plan and execute design verification and validation activities. * Develop robust designs meeting reliability, manufacturability, EMI/EMC and regulatory requirements. * Produce technical specifications, engineering calculations, test plans, reports and production-release documentation. * Support engineering changes, root-cause investigations, failure analysis and ongoing product improvements. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including firmware, software, mechanical, systems and product engineering.

Requirements

BSc or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline. * 6-8 years of hands-on board-level electronics development experience. * Proven experience taking at least one hardware product from specification through to production release. * Strong experience in schematic design, component selection, PCB layout guidance, prototype bring-up and hardware debugging. * Solid understanding of digital, analogue and mixed-signal electronics and low-power design. * Experience with embedded microcontrollers and interfaces such as I²C, SPI and UART. * Experience with design verification, validation and structured failure/root-cause analysis. * Strong technical documentation and communication skills. * Experience with battery-powered or low-power embedded systems is highly desirable. * Experience with wireless technologies such as LoRa, GNSS, Bluetooth or similar would be advantageous. * Knowledge of EMI/EMC, RF integration, regulatory compliance and design-for-manufacture would be beneficial. * Proficiency with Altium Designer or an equivalent professional PCB design platform.
