Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Healthcare IT Implementation Specialist to lead the deployment and integration of healthcare information technology systems. This position is responsible for is responsible for supporting the optimization, implementation, training, and ongoing use of eClinicalWorks (eCW) and other electronic applications utilized throughout the practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for improving healthcare delivery. As a Healthcare IT Implementation Specialist, you will collaborate with the Clinical Manager and Practice Manager of Operations teams to ensure seamless system implementation, optimize workflows, and deliver exceptional technical support., * Assist the Practice Manager of Operations and Clinical Manager with training new hires and existing staff, including Front Desk, Medical Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physicians, and administrative personnel.

  • Assess clinical, administrative, revenue cyle, and user roles to identify training needs and opportunities for system optimization.
  • Create, maintain, and update training manuals, reference guides, workflow documents, and other educational materials for individual job functions and practice processes.
  • Provide ongoing support for eClinicalWorks Help Desk tickets, including troubleshooting issues, identifying system concerns, and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Participate in workflow analysis, technical assessments, system enhancements, and the development and coordination of training schedules.
  • Provide training and implementation support for providers and staff, including on-site training, soft go-live support, go-live support, and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Maintain continuing education and stay current on system enhancements, upgrades, new functionality, and changes to practice processes to ensure information is effectively communicated to end users.
  • Assist the Clinical Manager and Practice Manager of Operations with system optimization projects designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, communication, and overall workflow.
  • Support additional electronic applications and technology platforms used throughout the practice as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions related to system functionality, workflow, and staff utilization.
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and communication of system updates, upgrades, and new functionality.
  • Provide ongoing end-user support and reinforcement following training and system implementations, and be a resource to all staff.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to meet departmental and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to assess the needs of different user groups and develop appropriate workflows, training, and support.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, administrative staff, and leadership.
  • Previous EHR experience required; eClinicalWorks experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior orthopedic clinical experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn and support multiple electronic applications and technology platforms.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information and comply with all applicable privacy and security requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant education and experience accepted.
  • Must be able to travel between practice locations as needed.
