Job description

  • Build and maintain a scalable Playwright automation framework using TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Develop functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API tests
  • Create reusable fixtures, page objects, utilities, and test-data solutions
  • Improve existing automation to make tests faster, more stable, and easier to maintain
  • Run parallel and cross-browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit
  • Perform API testing using Playwright’s APIRequestContext
  • Work with network mocking, request interception, authentication-state reuse, and test-data setup
  • Configure tracing, screenshots, videos, retries, and reporting to help troubleshoot failures
  • Identify and reduce flaky tests
  • Improve overall test coverage and execution time
  • Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps, and other team members throughout the development lifecycle

Nice to Have

  • Docker experience
  • Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest
  • Familiarity with visual testing, accessibility testing, or mobile-device emulation in Playwright
  • Experience with Allure, Playwright HTML reports, or ReportPortal
  • Exposure to performance, security, or contract testing

Requirements

We’re looking for a Hands on principal QA Automation Engineer with strong Playwright experience to help build, improve, and maintain automated testing for web applications and APIs.

This role is a good fit for someone who has worked hands-on with Playwright in real production environments and has experience building automation frameworks from the ground up., * 10+ years of experience in QA automation

  • 5+ years of recent, hands-on Playwright experience in production environments
  • Strong experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch
  • Strong TypeScript or JavaScript skills
  • Professional-level English communication
  • Finance industry experience is required
  • Good understanding of Playwright Test Runner, fixtures, hooks, projects, parallel execution, and worker management
  • Experience creating stable tests using reliable locators, role-based selectors, auto-waiting, and Playwright assertions
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Playwright
  • Experience with request interception, route handling, network mocking, and authentication
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, SQL, Git, web technologies, and Agile development
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with teams during EST/EDT hours
