Job description
Turn project data into clear decisions that accelerate the delivery of high-performance computing infrastructure. As the Construction Data Analyst , you will establish trusted reporting and actionable insights across an air-cooled HPC data center program by integrating schedule, cost, procurement, workforce, quality, safety, commissioning, and turnover data. You will partner with construction leadership and electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural teams to identify risk, validate progress, improve forecast accuracy, and give stakeholders a consistent view of project performance from preconstruction through final handover., With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way - responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in., * Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
- Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
- Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.
-
Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts.
- Establish and maintain the project reporting framework, including data definitions, KPI calculations, reporting calendars, responsibility assignments, and a consistent source of truth for construction performance.
- Integrate data from schedules, cost systems, procurement logs, Procore or comparable platforms, contractor reports, daily field records, QA/QC systems, safety records, commissioning platforms, and turnover trackers.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards for project leadership and discipline teams covering milestones, cost, installed quantities, productivity, workforce, procurement, changes, constraints, risks, quality, commissioning, and turnover readiness.
- Validate and reconcile owner, contractor, and vendor data; investigate exceptions, correct inconsistencies, document source and calculation logic, and preserve an audit trail for reported results.
- Analyze schedule health, including critical and near-critical paths, float erosion, milestone variance, look-ahead constraints, progress trends, and recovery-plan performance; provide early warning of emerging delivery risks.
- Analyze budget, commitments, actual costs, estimate to complete, estimate at completion, cash flow, change exposure, and forecast variance in coordination with project controls, commercial, finance, and construction teams.
- Track electrical readiness from design release and long-lead procurement through installation, testing, and energization for major systems such as medium- and low-voltage distribution, generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS equipment, and busway.
- Track air-cooled mechanical readiness, including equipment release, delivery, installation, startup, controls integration, functional testing, and commissioning of ventilation, air-handling, cooling, and related heat-rejection systems.
- Track civil and structural progress across earthwork, grading, foundations, structural steel or precast erection, slabs, roads, underground utilities, building enclosure, and dry-in milestones.
- Measure field progress and productivity using installed quantities, planned-versus-earned hours, manpower, daily reports, photographs, inspections, and payment applications; reconcile reported progress with observable field conditions.
- Automate repeatable data preparation and reporting workflows, maintain clear documentation and access controls, train report users, and continuously improve data quality, timeliness, and usability.
- Prepare concise weekly and monthly performance reports, explain drivers behind trends and variances, escalate risks and data gaps, and support decisions that protect phased building delivery, capacity milestones, commissioning, and final turnover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimumof 3 years of experience in data analytics, project controls, or construction reporting, preferably within mission-critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or data center projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a business-intelligence platform such as Power BI or Tableau, including data modeling, dashboard development, and tools such as Power Query, DAX, or comparable functionality.
- Working proficiency in SQL and experience extracting, cleaning, transforming, joining, and reconciling data from multiple systems; familiarity with APIs or workflow-automation tools is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of construction controls, including CPM schedules, work breakdown structures, cost codes, budgets, commitments, change management, earned value, productivity, procurement, and forecasting.
- Ability to interpret project data across electrical, air-cooled mechanical, and civil/structural scopes from design and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
- Demonstrated ability to establish data definitions, perform quality checks, document calculation logic, maintain traceability, and produce accurate, audit-ready reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into concise findings, clear visualizations, and practical actions for field teams and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience supporting hyperscale, AI, or HPC data center construction, including multi-building programs and work adjacent to live mission-critical systems.
- Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud, ERP or cost-control systems, and commissioning or digital-turnover platforms.
- Experience using Python, R, cloud data platforms, version control, or automated data pipelines to improve reporting efficiency and reliability.
- Familiarity with the sequencing and readiness requirements of electrical power systems, air-cooled mechanical systems, site civil infrastructure, structural construction, and integrated commissioning.
