Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on CTO to lead the design, development and implementation of Savortex’s patent-pending next-generation technology platform.

The successful candidate must understand both physical engineering and software architecture.

What We Are Looking For

• 10+ years’ engineering or technology experience
• Previous CTO, VP Engineering, Technical Director or similar experience
• Strong IoT and connected-hardware background
• Mechanical, mechatronics or electronic engineering knowledge
• SaaS and cloud architecture experience
• Strong data architecture experience
• Practical AI / machine-learning knowledge
• Experience taking physical products from prototype to commercial manufacture
• Experience building and leading technical teams

Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science, AI or a related discipline preferred.

This is not a pure software role. Applicants must demonstrate genuine experience building and implementing connected physical products at commercial scale.

Pay: £110,000.00-£150,000.00 per year

With over a decade of technology and manufacturing experience, Savortex pioneered smart, IoT-connected hand dryers, hand sanitisers, and connected washroom technology for the building services industry, supplying multinational brands, customers, and partners including Gatwick Airport, Shell, GSK, Rolls-Royce, RBS, CBRE, MITIE, Wates, and Intel.

COVID-19 significantly disrupted the business, forcing Savortex to scale back operations while protecting its IP, technology and key enterprise relationships.

We are now securing new funding to rebuild and scale the company around a next-generation AI-IoT platform for commercial washrooms and smart buildings.
