Job description

  • Spektrum Management Group is recruiting a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a NATO C2 Service Centre team in The Hague, working on the development, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical software applications within a SCRUM environment., * Develop and maintain full stack applications across Front-end (Angular) and Back-end (Spring/Java) with equal proficiency
  • Write automated tests (unit, component, functional, integration)
  • Work within a SCRUM team using Jira, Jenkins, Maven and standard IDE tooling
  • Collaborate with Project Manager / Product Owner / Service Delivery Manager on delivery priorities
  • Operate within a Linux server environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering field
  • 3+ years total software development experience
  • 2+ years Front-end: Angular v10+, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript
  • 2+ years Back-end: Spring v5+, Java 5+, Spring Boot
  • Automated testing experience (JUnit or equivalent)
  • Git, Maven, Jenkins, XML, JSON
  • TCP/UDP/IP networking fundamentals, SSH/terminal proficiency
  • SQL and NoSQL database experience
  • Linux environment experience (RHEL/Oracle Linux)

Desirable:

  • Web Sockets (STOMP)
  • Near-real-time data visualisation
  • Tactical Data Links
  • RPM packaging, * Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance

The program

Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.

To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise’s: NATO International Civilians (NIC)’s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)’s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.
