HCM Technical Integration and Security Advisor

Executive Option seeks a technical advisor to assess how candidate HCM/HRIS solutions will connect to the client’s systems, protect its data, and support reporting and operations. The role defines requirements and evaluates feasibility with the selection and functional leads.

Responsibilities

· Assess the existing system landscape, interfaces, data flows, reporting arrangements, identity services, and relevant technical constraints.

· Define ERP integration requirements for actual data transfer and position-based budgeting, including business ownership, interface direction, frequency, validation, reconciliation, and error handling.

· Document requirements for data management, reporting and analytics, organizational structures, access control, auditability, and applicable security and privacy obligations.

· Review vendor architecture, APIs and integration options, identity/access capabilities, data portability, operational support, and relevant service commitments.

· Develop technical demonstration and clarification questions; score vendor responses and document limitations, dependencies, and implementation risks.

· Support review of technical contract provisions and implementation statements of work; contribute high-level integration sequencing, data readiness, and governance recommendations.

· Experience with enterprise HCM architecture and integration to ERP or financial systems, including payroll actuals, reporting, or position/budget information.

· Demonstrated requirements definition or technical evaluation experience for software selection and procurement.

· Practical knowledge of interfaces, data quality controls, identity/access management, role-based security, and audit requirements.

· Ability to challenge vendor assertions with evidence and explain technical tradeoffs to HR, Payroll, Finance, and procurement stakeholders.

Preferred background

Public-sector systems; cloud HCM evaluation across multiple platforms; experience reviewing security evidence and contractual service commitments. Architecture, integration, or security certifications are useful supporting qualifications.
