Job description
- Data Extraction: Collaborate with Audit Managers and senior ETL developers to understand data requirements and source data from various databases, APIs, and other data sources.
- Data Transformation: Design, develop, and implement data transformation logic using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, ensuring data consistency and integrity throughout the process.
- Data Loading: Load transformed data into data warehouses following best practices and optimizing data loading performance.
- Data Quality and Validation: Perform data quality checks, identify data inconsistencies, and work towards data cleansing and data enrichment to maintain high-quality data.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize ETL processes to improve data processing efficiency and reduce load times.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of ETL processes, data mappings, transformations, and data flow diagrams.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and provide support for data-related tasks.
- Data Security: Adhere to data security and privacy standards, ensuring the protection of sensitive information during ETL processes.
- Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance data management practices, data governance, and overall data lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an ETL Developer or similar role.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data integration patterns.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Shell scripts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Fundamental understanding of accounting concepts.
- Strong commitment to data security, data privacy, and compliance.
