Job description
Kingston University is seeking a dedicated Power BI Data Specialist to join their experienced HR team. This role focuses on improving the quality and accessibility of workforce data, supporting HR in optimising systems, and delivering high-quality data products for strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate with HR teams and stakeholders to enhance data capabilities, aligning with the Town House Strategy and People Plan., * Support HR teams with access and interpretation of complex data sets.
- Plan and deliver the annual Staff data return, ensuring compliance with changing requirements.
- Continuously improve the People Dashboard report for leadership teams.
- Assist in delivering Public Sector Equality Duty and Pay Gap reports.
- Respond to external requests for HR data
- Deliver tailored workforce data products to facilitate decision-making.
- Lead as the HR data protection champion and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Develop tools and processes for continuous improvement in HR data management.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data reporting, presentation, and analysis.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
- SQL report writing experience.
- Knowledge of Data Protection legislation.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience working in a Higher Education environment is desirable.
- Strong customer service ethic with relationship-building capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical thinking skills for interpreting complex data.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Benefits & conditions
- Salary Range: £50,160 - £59,306 perannum.
- Typically, new hires start at the bottom of the scale, but there is an opportunity to start higher based on experience.
- Pension Scheme: Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
- Annual Leave: 35 days plus bank holidays.
