Job description

Our client is an established and fast-growing managed services provider, delivering cloud and network projects

and support services to a national and international client base concentrated in London and the South East. This

role sits within a growing technical team and reports directly to the Cloud & Platform Solutions Team Leader.

The position covers the delivery of cloud and network projects and support services for both contracted and

non-contracted clients, requiring strong communication, co-ordination and time management to keep client

expectations and contractual obligations on track. The role calls for someone who can work logically and keep

control under pressure, making sound decisions based on judgement and experience in difficult situations, while

always looking for ways to become more efficient.

CORE COMPETENCY

  • 3-5 years’ experience delivering major projects, including migrations to Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint and

Intune.

  • All-round strong knowledge of managed-service portfolio, services and products.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisation skills, able to manage and prioritise against tight service metrics.
  • Comfortable working as part of multi-disciplined teams and collaborating across departments.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

A strong technical grounding across business infrastructure and networks is essential, along with the ability to

make sound decisions based on that knowledge. Proven experience should cover:

  • Resolving typical 3rd line queries and escalations - complex desktop/PC issues, server or network

troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 administration.

  • Azure administration.
  • Good knowledge of on-premise infrastructure - desktop, server, datacentre, compute, storage, networking,

connectivity, virtualisation and security.

  • Excellent knowledge of cloud technology - Microsoft 365, Azure, Private Cloud, SharePoint Online.
  • Ability to engage convincingly with more technical engineers.
  • Demonstrable track record of keeping current with new and emerging technologies., Essential (one or more of): Degree in Computer Science (or similar); A level/AS level in IT (or similar); BTEC

National/Higher National Diploma in IT (or similar); CompTIA N+; Microsoft MCP/MCSE; Cisco CCNA;

Microsoft Azure Administrator; VMware Certified Professional (VCP).

Beneficial: ITIL Foundation; customer service-related qualifications; Microsoft 365 certifications; SharePoint

Online/Teams-related qualifications; Intune certification(s).
