Artificial Intelligence Software Quality Code Review Software Library

Job description

As an Associate Developer, you’ll be part of a collaborative, fast-paced engineering team building AI-powered and bespoke software products. Whether you’ve coded through university projects, bootcamps, side hustles, or personal interest, we want to help you “level up” into a professional software engineer.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Feature Development: Contribute to feature development by following specifications and learning our coding standards.
  • Code Quality: Write clear, well-commented code and document your tasks and progress along the way.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews - first as an observer, then as a learner - and start contributing your own findings and discussion points.
  • Collaboration: Communicate progress and questions clearly with your team, respond to messages promptly, and use our communication tools as instructed.
  • Problem Solving: Assist in breaking down tasks into manageable subtasks and learn practical problem-solving techniques with guidance.
  • Quality Mindset: Check your own work for errors, learn to identify basic risk, and follow instructions carefully.
  • Agile Life: Take part in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and team meetings - practising active listening and beginning to explain your work to others.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrate proactive learning and research, ask questions to clarify understanding, and accept feedback gracefully.

Requirements

  • Exposure to Development: You have a basic understanding of coding fundamentals (maybe through a degree, bootcamp, or self-study) and familiarity with core company tools and software libraries.
  • Communication is Key: You are a good communicator who feels comfortable brainstorming with the team and asking questions when you’re unsure.
  • Initiative & Enthusiasm: You don’t wait to be told what to do; you see a problem and want to solve it.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You’re a self-starter who loves being part of a supportive, high-quality team, and you maintain professionalism in all interactions.

Benefits & conditions

You’ll join a team that values quality, creativity, and autonomy. We’re building a place where you can thrive, not just as a developer, but as a person. If you’re ready to take the next step in your engineering career, we want to hear from you.

Pay: ÂŁ28,000.00-ÂŁ40,000.00 per year

Application question(s):

  • What draws you to an agency/consultancy environment, and how have you been experimenting with or following tech like AI outside of structured coursework?
