• Classroom Presentation Systems Management: Ensure high readiness and perform daily operational checks on Crestron A/V and signal control systems. Establish, test, and monitor secure point-to-point and multi-point VTC links across multiple security enclaves. Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting, component failure workarounds, routine maintenance, and user support for A/V/VTC systems. Coordinate with network engineers on complex transmission path issues and assist with strategic A/V/VTC concepts.
• Networked Peripheral Device Support: Manage, monitor, and maintain the organization’s networked printer fleet and peripheral devices for operational readiness. Perform Tier 2 hardware repairs, configure print servers (drivers, device setup), and resolve workstation-to-device network connectivity issues.
• Administrative & Technical Support: Maintain technical inventory, documentation, and spare parts for classroom presentation systems. Coordinate, escort, and monitor external Tier 3 maintenance contractors on secure IT systems. Deliver CJ-6 Service Desk user support, routine IT hardware installations, and general IT troubleshooting.
• Performs other duties as assigned., * Position may be filled at the C-05, C-5A or at the full performance level, C-06. Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.
• This position is a Nonappropriated Fund Position.
• Occasionally temporary duty travel (TDY) required.
• The employee may be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

MINIMUM: The completed apprenticeship (E&T Level III ) must be in the Computer Science occupation (Informatikkaufmann/frau) or in another area that is directly related to the position to be filled; PLUS 2 years of job related experience as defined below.

Job Related Experience:

Any work experience that involves the planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements. Includes experience in diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents; researching, evaluating, and providing feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements; installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer hardware and software, and developing and managing customer service performance requirements., * Must be a citizen of a NATO member state and must be able to establish residency with permission to work in Germany before or within the probationary period. As proof a current German residence permit must be presented. The failure to present a working permit will lead to the termination of employment during the probationary period or any time thereafter, when there is doubt that a working permit may be granted by the German authorities.

• Must present either a valid Police Good Conduct Certificate from the local resident registration office or a valid NATO and/or National Security clearance on initial appointment or reappointment after a break in service of a period longer than 6 months. Costs for the certificates are not reimbursable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance.
