Job description

We are seeking an On-Site IT Help Desk & Project Coordinator who pairs technical help desk expertise with strong IT project management capabilities. This is a fully on-site position based out of our laboratory facility. In this role, you will balance daily hands-on technical support for our scientific team with critical coordination responsibilities.

Internally, you will help us transition, tailor, and modernize our technology systems. Externally, you will act as a dedicated partner to our clients, managing and guiding them through their technical system setups and system interfaces.

You take extreme ownership of your results, thrive on finding innovative solutions, and ensure that both internal staff and external clients feel seamlessly supported., * IT Project Management & System Transitions: Coordinate and execute internal IT initiatives aimed at transitioning, updating, and tailoring our laboratory technology systems.

  • External Client System Interfaces: Act as the technical project point of contact for external clients, managing the onboarding, configuration, and successful coordination of technical systems with our lab.
  • On-Site Laboratory Support: Provide immediate, hands-on troubleshooting for desktop computers, laptops, and specialized laboratory workstations.
  • Remote Client Assistance: Utilize remote tools to support external clients, ensuring clear, professional, and efficient resolution of their technical inquiries.
  • Proactive Follow-Up & Self-Management: Drive both help desk tickets and long-term project milestones to completion with high autonomy, managing your daily workflow without needing constant supervision.
  • Clear & Concise Communication: Translate complex technical requirements and project timelines into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand guidance for internal staff and external clients.
  • Process-Driven Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of professionalism by following, optimizing, and documenting IT workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT help desk, technical support, or IT coordination role.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude for IT project management, such as managing software deployments, system transitions, or technical onboarding.
  • Ability to work fully on-site at our laboratory facility.
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills, with a reputation for being clear, concise, professional, and highly organized.
  • Solid technical knowledge of Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi).

Preferred Skills

  • Strong familiarity or prior exposure to EMR/EHR systems and integration concepts (e.g., HL7, data workflows, or interfacing with external client systems).
  • Previous experience working within a medical laboratory, biotech, or healthcare setting.
  • Basic understanding of project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) or certifications (e.g., CAPM, Project+)., * IT Help Desk, Project Management : 2 years (Preferred)
  • IT help desk, technical support, or IT coordination role.: 2 years (Required)
