Job description

  • Support compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Information Governance legislation.
  • Process and manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
  • Assist with Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests.
  • Investigate and monitor information security incidents and breaches.
  • Provide advice and guidance on data protection, information security and records management.
  • Maintain accurate records and archive management systems.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external organisations regarding information governance matters.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and information-sharing agreements.
  • Produce reports, management information and performance data.
  • Deliver a professional and confidential service at all times.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Quality assurance?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Experience working within an Information Governance, Data Protection or Records Management environment.

  • Knowledge of:
  • Freedom of Information legislation
  • Data Protection legislation (GDPR)
  • Information Security
  • Information Sharing
  • Records Management
  • Caldicott Principles
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work accurately, manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • DBS Check may be required.

Desirable:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience processing Freedom of Information Requests and Data Subject Access Requests.
  • Knowledge of Local Authority information systems and social care records.
  • ECDL or equivalent qualification., * Within an Information Governance: 3 years (preferred)
  • Data Protection: 3 years (preferred)
  • Records Management environment: 3 years (preferred)
  • GDPR: 3 years (preferred)
  • Processing Freedom of Information Requests: 3 years (preferred)
  • Processing Data Subject Access Requests: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
