Job description
- Support compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Information Governance legislation.
- Process and manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
- Assist with Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests.
- Investigate and monitor information security incidents and breaches.
- Provide advice and guidance on data protection, information security and records management.
- Maintain accurate records and archive management systems.
- Liaise with internal departments and external organisations regarding information governance matters.
- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and information-sharing agreements.
- Produce reports, management information and performance data.
- Deliver a professional and confidential service at all times.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Quality assurance?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Experience working within an Information Governance, Data Protection or Records Management environment.
- Knowledge of:
- Freedom of Information legislation
- Data Protection legislation (GDPR)
- Information Security
- Information Sharing
- Records Management
- Caldicott Principles
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work accurately, manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- DBS Check may be required.
Desirable:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience processing Freedom of Information Requests and Data Subject Access Requests.
- Knowledge of Local Authority information systems and social care records.
- ECDL or equivalent qualification., * Within an Information Governance: 3 years (preferred)
- Data Protection: 3 years (preferred)
- Records Management environment: 3 years (preferred)
- GDPR: 3 years (preferred)
- Processing Freedom of Information Requests: 3 years (preferred)
- Processing Data Subject Access Requests: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
