BI Developer

We are looking for a BI Developer to join a close-knit team and take ownership of reporting and dashboard development. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys translating complex data into clear, actionable insight for non-technical stakeholders., * Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports

• Work directly with stakeholders across the business, including councils and non-technical departments, to understand their data needs and translate them into meaningful outputs
• Explain the rationale behind reports clearly and confidently to varied audiences
• Build and maintain databases in SQL, with an understanding of underlying data structures
• Write clean, efficient SQL queries and continuously look for opportunities to improve and automate processes
• Double-check and validate data outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the data infrastructure

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Power BI to dashboard and report development

• PostgreSQL and SQL to querying and database building
• Excel to including pivot tables and formulas
• Ability to think structurally about data and database design
• Jira to beneficial but not essential
