Job description

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving operational documentation that supports all areas of Client Services, and other customer-facing functions at Talus. This role develops SOPs, help center articles, training materials, knowledge base content, and user guides for Talus payment applications and supporting systems. The role also participates in QA and UAT activities to ensure enhancements are tested both pre and post release, documented, and successfully adopted., * Create and maintain SOPs, Help Center articles, training guides, and process documentation

  • Manage and maintain the Client Services knowledge base in Intercom/Genesys
  • Translate complex technical processes into user-friendly content
  • Develop training content for support related functions
  • Support onboarding and ongoing employee training materials
  • Simplify Complex technical jargon into plain, user-friendly language
  • Create diagrams, charts and screenshots to help explain how products work
  • Review, Update and test existing documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency with company style guidelines
  • Partner with SMEs across Product, Operations, Risk, Underwriting, and Client Services
  • Participate in pre-release QA testing for enhancements, bug fixes, and new features
  • Develop and execute UAT scripts based on documented workflows
  • Validate functionality aligns with business requirements and procedures
  • Identify, document, and track defects and documentation gaps
  • Support post-release validation and regression testing
  • Update documentation following releases and process changes

Requirements

  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of grammar and tone
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and gather data from multiple sources
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Jira, Asana and Confluence
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with experts and work with cross functional teams
  • High accuracy in checking technical facts and updating version controls
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering or related field., The mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; work and deadlines may impose pressure on a routine and frequent basis, substantive contacts with people in stressful situations, delicacy and unpredictability of contacts routinely may create significant/constant stress.
