Job description
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Applications Support Analyst to take ownership of clinical systems administration, oversee key application support processes and help drive the continuous improvement of our Electronic Patient Record and clinical applications. Working across support, testing, troubleshooting and service development, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the digital systems that underpin patient care remain safe, effective and reliable.
The postholder will undertake maintenance, testing and clinical system administration of the trust’s applications. They will support the Application Managers/Applications Specialists with application changes,troubleshooting problems and challenges, the expansion and upgrading of applications, as well as supporting new systems in both Project stage and BAU.
The post holder will be expected to support the Test Lead in the testing of applications, including new software releases and updates.
To be a point of contact for all clinical application and e-RS related issues or queries for internal staff, GP Practices and external stakeholders. You will manage incidents and develop relevant skill and knowledge to progress change requests on the trusts incident management system for all applications we support
To understand the systems, offer potential solutions to problems, escalate when required and will support a team of skilled application specialists.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have experience supporting clinical applications in a healthcare environment, including Electronic Patient Record systems, incident management, application administration and user support. Applicants without relevant clinical systems experience are unlikely to meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification.
