Senior Software Engineer/Developer - Marlborough, MA

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related (STEM) degree

• Minimum of 5 years professional software programming experience in development, integration, or test using C++, Java or similar object-oriented software language

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)
• Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
• Experience developing software using Agile techniques such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
• Experience working with Continuous Integration/Development & Integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Eclipse, and Ansible
• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
