Job description

As a Graduate Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, cleaning, and organising data from internal and external sources.
  • Producing regular reports and supporting ad-hoc analysis.
  • Identifying trends, patterns, and potential performance issues.
  • Building and maintaining spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Supporting teams with data required for business and operational decisions.
  • Checking data quality and investigating inconsistencies.
  • Presenting analytical findings in a clear and practical way.
  • Supporting the development of reporting processes and performance metrics.
  • Maintaining documentation relating to datasets, reports, and analytical processes., The role will provide practical exposure to how data is used within Advance Acquisition to support business operations and decision-making.

You will have opportunities to:

  • Build reporting and dashboard experience.
  • Work alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Requirements

This role is suited to a recent graduate or early-career candidate who wants to develop practical experience working with business data and turning information into useful insights., We are looking for someone who:

  • Has recently completed, or is close to completing, a relevant degree.
  • Has strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Is comfortable working with structured data.
  • Has good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Can explain findings clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Is curious and enjoys investigating problems using data.
  • Is organised and capable of managing multiple analytical tasks.
  • Is willing to learn new tools and systems.

Relevant degrees may include:

  • Data Science
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Economics, Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:
  • Excel or Google Sheets
  • SQL
  • Power BI or Tableau
  • Python or R
  • Data cleaning and transformation
  • Data visualisation
  • Basic statistical analysis
  • Dashboard development

Commercial experience is not essential. Relevant university coursework, projects, internships, placements, or personal analytical projects are welcome.
