Job description
This position involves leading the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments within a large-scale enterprise ecosystem. The role will oversee the design, build, and lifecycle management of Linux servers and drive the implementation of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system resilience and automation., * Lead the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments.
- Oversee the design, build, and lifecycle management of Linux servers, including storage and virtualization.
- Manage high availability (HA) configurations, clustering, and load-balanced environments.
- Define and implement SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Lead initiatives for infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible.
- Install, configure, and maintain OEL operating systems and related software.
- Manage Logical Volume Manager (LVM) configurations and distributed file systems.
- Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortem reviews.
- Ensure systems are secure, hardened, and compliant with enterprise security standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure teams.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) systems.
- Proven experience in high availability systems, virtualization, and storage management.
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools, with a preference for Ansible.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with a preference for Bash or Python.
- Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident management.
- Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including compute, storage, and network.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment.
Work Environment
This role requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week on-site. Approved locations for this position are Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Jersey City, NJ.
