Job description

  • Read and interpret customer specifications to develop aftermarket quotations.
  • Coordinate proposal reviews and conduct project handoff meetings upon receipt of customer purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of FANUC products, systems, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Create detailed proposal documents using Microsoft Word and Excel, including the use of macros.
  • Develop material and labor cost models and pricing grids.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Product Data Management, and Material Planning teams.
  • Solicit pricing and quotations from vendors and suppliers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Serve as a customer contact throughout the proposal process.
  • Evaluate and recategorize spare parts based on customer risk assessments.
  • Support additional projects and duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Technical Specialist - Customer Service Proposals to support our Customer Service business by developing accurate, customer-focused proposals for Spare Parts, Rebuild, Service, and Training solutions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating across departments, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, outstanding communication skills, and a “service first” mindset. This position plays a critical role in ensuring proposal accuracy, meeting customer requirements, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement., * Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in:- Material Management
  • Inventory Control
  • Sales Support
  • Customer Service
  • Supply Chain or related fields
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including:- Excel
  • Word
  • PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment., * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience using Oracle ERP systems.
  • Experience with proposal development, quoting, or cost estimating in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of BOM structures and technical documentation., * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Project management and leadership abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based business applications., * Primarily office-based role with regular interaction in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in industrial settings that may include noise, dirt, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Must comply with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to support customer deadlines.
  • Minimal travel, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to multitask, learn new systems, and meet productivity expectations.
